Modcrafters.com

As the current host of ModCrafters, I'd like to inform you all due to no response from Hercanic that Modcrafters.com is nearing its renewal deadline. The expected expiration date is June 2nd. If any of you can contact him, I suggest you do so. Otherwise this domain will likely be bought by a reseller. In the case there is no response, I suggest you download your valuables from this forum.

Re: Modcrafters.com

Hey all. I actually renewed the domain several months ago. I received a confirmation email, but they never withdrew anything from my account. I have been absent for the past few weeks because we recently moved for a new job, and as a result of all the various new deposits we cannot afford to set up our own internet until after payday mid-May.

Re: Modcrafters.com

If they never withdrew they never received it, most likely, as it shows it red and bold "1+ month left," look into it, bud!

Re: Modcrafters.com

Was wondering where you had got to Hercanic :P

On almost exactly the same note, it seems BWAI.net is down since it wasn't renewed, though I remember baja saying he renewed it for one more year. Lav, did you hear anything from bajadulce since the "takeover" thread on BWAI.net?

Re: Modcrafters.com

Nope. I'm heavily upset about that. I got nothing but the admin login to the forum. I didn't even have a chance to go into the FTP since I never was given that information. bajadulce literally just vanished after his post.

Re: Modcrafters.com

I clearly remember him mentioning that he had renewed the site in that thread :/ I really couldn't see baja letting all of that stuff disappear... He must just really be enjoying summer. How long do you usually have before a site is wiped?

Re: Modcrafters.com

The domain is gone. No chance in recovering that, I'm sure. The content might still be up in an FTP, but without the access, it's all in his hands.

EDIT: Looks like the "temp" host of the domain wasn't an advertising company after all and baja got it back, though apparently things with CC "didn't pan out." Wonder how that came about.

Always nice to see a community site retain its domain name.

Re: Modcrafters.com

Indeed. I always hated it when a site I used to visit turned up a "Not Found" error or, worse, was bought up by a reseller to display some crappy generic link page.

Update: My account has been plundered, so all should be good for the next two years (the three year renewal option has disappeared for some reason).

Re: Modcrafters.com

CC has been the most resilient one, so no need to worry Lav. It's the oldest custom-oriented SC1 site that I know of , heck I remember it being the first SC site that I ever visited, something like...10 years ago ;)
Clean...simple...devious. I like it.
