Re: Wiki up

Inner-page tab code installed. Example is currently on the main page of the wiki.

Encountered an "Undefined Value" error with it initially, but thanks to DarkWizzard and a little code tampering all is well now.

Writing graphics tutorials from scratch. Gonna take a while since I'm also doing .bins, backgrounds, .pcx, console editing, portraits and almost everything on graphics actually.

Awesome, thank you IskatuMesk!

I've been watching the recent changes, and am very excited to see many of you working hard to contribute and fill out our wiki. It isn't easy building a site from the ground up, but you are all helping make this dream a reality. Thank you!

I'm liking how people are writing their modding bio and past projects. I find them interesting and illuminating. Good job!

Thank you, Hercanic. You don't know how much that means to me.

EDIT: Can someone please tell me how to create a new category?

Re: Wiki up

No problem, guys. If anything, thank you for your contributions. I appreciate them, as will every modder henceforth who is seeking knowledge.

Categories are simply [[Category:]] where after the colon is the name of the category. The name can be anything, it doesn't have to exist. If it doesn't exist, the link will simply be red indicating it hasn't been 'created', but it'll still function. Categories default to sorting by the first letter of a page's name, but you can override that with | after the category name in [[Category:Name of category|sort by me]]. So, take for instance the user pages that have recently been sorted into a Profiles category. At the bottom of my user page, I have [[Category:Profiles|H]]. The |H sorts by user page under H, instead of U for User:Hercanic.

One way I've learned wiki code is to look at existing articles that have what I want to do. There is also a lot of helpful information out there, too:

Re: Wiki up

Looking at the recent changes, you'll notice I've done, quite literally, a ton of changes. Most revolve around the new infoboxes and associated templates, and organizing much of our wayward content into appropriate categories. Everything, unless I missed it, now funnels down into the Root category, which the Main Page is a part of for easy access.

As for the infoboxes, currently I've only made one for Mods. Tutorials and Resources will eventually need one of their own, too, but for now the next step is developing the mod database (whose structure can then be replicated for all other content types).
